B.B.S. (Bleet Box System)

Ohnoho's B.B.S is a monosynth bleep, bloop, bleet and thrrruurrphhhfft box.

It's got:

2x ATE-bit CPUs - oscillators creating a single squarewave output
Turbo Modem - an LFO that can tweak either CPU. selectable via toggle switch
CHP/SPW toggle - this switches the output to always on or always off
Play button - in CHP mode it will mute the output when pressed. in SPW mode it will output sound.

It's both a really cool noise maker but a very playable instrument. Plus it makes really fat bass sounds.

The BBS does not come with a power supply. It uses a negative polarity, 9VDC (not AC!) adapter.

I recommend the One-Spot: [link]

Hey would you or is it even possible to have this pedal but as a guitar pedal? So it takes your guitar or bass signal and turns it into that grindy synthy video game sounds? There are fuzz pedals that sound 8 bit, but i want this for guitar….is that even possible? Thank you so much, your products are amazing and currently i am waiting patiently for more BLOWING UPS to be on sale =) God bless – Nicholas A. Paige

On my long list of pedals to design… making the BBS into an effect is one of them.

I’m not entirely sure it’s possible yet so don’t hold your breath :)

Something like the Crash Sync? using the guitar input to reset a 555 oscillator? it can be done though it’s not nearly as tweaky as the standard APC style.

    Schematic for Crashsync

    That should get ya started.
